Looking Back To Make The Future Better

The only way we can make the future better is by looking back. The way we grow and mature is by looking at our past mistakes and learning from them. Taking that to a more global level, with elections upon us, the only way to make the future better for those that will follow us is by reflecting on our past. I don’t mean just the past four years, I mean throughout history. Each of us has our own definition of right, wrong, justice, injustice etc.  The reality is, if we do not exercise our American rite to vote, we have not received the gift of freedom that was given to us many years ago. Especially this year, it is easy to point the finger and say, this should have been done or that should have been handled differently. But, if we do not vote, we do not have the right to say anything.  The best voting advice I have seen is this: voting is not marriage. It is public transport. You are not waiting for “the one”.  You are getting on the bus. And, if there isn’t one going exactly to your destination, you don’t stay home and sulk. You take the one that’s going closest to where you want to be. (@mhdksafa)
